What we store

The local part and domain of any address you generate, plus any messages received at that address, until the inbox expires (one hour by default). After expiry, the data is dropped.

What we don't store

• Your IP address tied to specific inboxes
• Browser fingerprints or cross-site identifiers
• Long-term logs of message contents

Cookies and analytics

We use one localStorage key (tempmailbox.address) to remember your last inbox on this device.

We also use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-W3BC8KY81Q) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. GA4 sets cookies whose names start with _ga and _ga_W3BC8KY81Q, and collects coarse data such as page views, approximate location (country/region from IP), device type, browser, and referrer. We do not link analytics data to specific email addresses or message contents. See our cookie policy for the full list.

How to opt out: install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block third-party scripts in your browser, or use a tracker-blocking extension. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner; if you visit from a region that requires explicit consent, please opt out using one of the methods above before browsing further.

Operator visibility

Anyone who runs a TempMailbox-style service technically has access to message content while inboxes are live. Treat any disposable inbox as a public surface and never use it for secrets, recovery codes, or financial information.
