TTempMailbox

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to the questions we get most often.

Do I need to register?
No. The inbox is generated automatically the moment you land on the home page. There is nothing to sign up for.
How long does an inbox live?
It depends on the lifetime you pick: 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour (the default), 6 hours, or 24 hours. Each new message or refresh extends the lifetime.
Can I send email from a TempMailbox address?
No. TempMailbox is receive-only. Sending would expose users to abuse-handling problems we have deliberately stayed out of.
Does it support attachments?
Yes. Attachments are listed with name, content type, and size. Downloading is intentionally limited for safety.
Can a website block TempMailbox?
Yes — some do, especially for high-trust services like banking. That is a reasonable choice on their end and not something we try to circumvent.
Is it free?
Yes. The free tier covers all standard disposable-inbox use. Pro plans exist for longer lifetimes, custom local parts, and bring-your-own-domain.
Is my mail private?
Inboxes are publicly addressable — anyone who guesses the address could read messages there. Treat a TempMailbox inbox as a public bulletin board, not a vault.
Can I use a custom address?
Yes. Pick any local part on a supported domain. If the inbox does not yet exist, it will be created.
